NED'S SUMMER: Those Shanleys are so great: They took Ned to Point Pleasant. And because Ned was afraid of the water ... they kept him safe from getting wet. Props to the Shanley's for their demonstration of one of the Seven Virtues of Bushido: Benevolence.

Ned was excited to learn the game, Rummikub, with his friend Amanda (don't let his expression fool you!) Numbers, strategy...it was right up his alley. He won four games out of five. That's our Ned!

Whoa, Ned! Our guy met some new relatives today in the Catskills: His Great Aunt Brit and his Great Uncle George. A great time was had by all ... but Aunt Brit was concerned that Ned looked a little thin. She gave him an ice cream float.

NED'S SUMMER: "Uh-oh! Oh, no!" While visiting upstate NY, Ned got stuck up a tree. Was Beck the Bonebreaker at fault? Nope. Ned challenged himself to climb the tree--and we're so proud of him for that--unfortunately, he caught a bit of vertigo while up there and couldn't get down. Luckily, someone who recognized him as the hero in The Secret Path of Ned the Ninja book series helped him down. When Ned's mother heard what happened she smothered him with kisses, lectures, and blueberry pie.

Ned took part in a summer karate class. Only he didn't realize the class he showed up for was all high rank! Sensei made him try the class anyway...for fun. Said Ned, "I lived, folks. I survived in one piece." His worst problem? Adrianna wasn't there!
